This summer, two PhD students from our group represented our lab and the Technion at two prestigious Gordon Research Conferences (GRC), sharing their latest research with leading scientists from around the world.
Johanan Sklar presented her research at the GRC on Bio-Inspired Materials, held on June 14–19, 2026, in Les Diablerets, Switzerland. The conference brings together researchers working at the interface of biology, materials science, chemistry, and engineering to explore nature-inspired approaches for designing advanced functional materials.
Two weeks later, Niv Ben-Arie presented our group’s latest advances in the SafeWax project at the GRC on Nanoscale Science and Engineering for Agriculture and Food Systems, held on June 28 – July 3, 2026, in New Hampshire, USA. His presentation highlighted the development of bio-inspired multifunctional coatings designed to enhance sustainable and climate-resilient crop protection through passive physical mechanisms.
